Tom Vincent is a jazz pianist, arranger and composer. He is one of Australia’s best-regarded and most innovative improvising musicians. Tom performs extensively worldwide and over the years has been based in Sydney, London, New York, Melbourne and Amsterdam. He continues to travel frequently to record and to perform in concert at jazz festivals and special events.

Career highlights include touring with Branford Marsalis as support act and recently recording with Branford for CD release Blues in America. As a composer/arranger Tom has worked for many years writing music and recording his various larger ensembles for ABC Television.

As well as touring internationally and nationally on a regular basis, Tom has produced eight CDs as bandleader. The horn section of his seventh release, Tom Vincent Septet, features the cream of the Australian jazz scene. This Septet was augmented to form the Tom Vincent Octet which performed Dhāraṇī for Dark MOFO in 2016.

In his role as teacher and mentor Tom shares the joy in developing skills for innovative jazz improvisation, composition and arranging. On stage, he delights in spontaneous interactions with fellow performers and audiences alike.
